Don't understand the appeal of carp fishing myself.

The specialist carp lakes round my way seem to cater for those who enjoy hoicking out overfed semi tame pet goldfish. Whatever flloats your (bait) boat I suppose.

More of a test of an angler to extract a 5lb wild chub from a stream rather than a 30lb pet carp from a lake.
